Adding a scope to the Stg44 -
04-15-2003, 11:28 PM
I've seen many pics of the stg44 with a scope on it. Does anyone think they could make the stg44 with a scope? Or if it is already made where would I be able to find one?

Is the stg44 accurate enough to use with a scope. I think ea have made it less accurate to counter the bar's low rate of fire. I think in moh iots brilliant for CQB - ie spray everywhere but if you want to hang back i would use a sniper. Or of course you could go for the best of both worlds and use the fg42, thats brilliant. just got to find a UK server that has the files

The stg44 is definately accurate enough for a scope. It's about as accurate as the garand when single shot.
Guarnere, as for the scope. I'm not sure but I guess just to make it easier use the same as the kar, unless its easier for you to use another. Thanks for taking a shot at it.
And, about the fg42. Do you know if they made one for allied assault and not just spearhead. If so where could I find it?

I think it would be good with a scope. I downloaded something for it in the level snowy park on mohaa. A little red beam to help shoot hehehe biggrin:

I think u'll have to make a new model, and attach the scope to it and edit the tiki where u have to add in the scope function.

That may be, But I've looked around and couldn't find anything so I made this thread. Guarnere already said he would take a shot at it when he has the time, if anyone else wants to take a shot at it then that would be great. Yes it would require you to reskin it, but lots of people haved reskinned the stg44, but they haven't put a scope on it. Which is what I'm looking for.

no, you dont need to re-skin it...ive got a good handle on modelling (as you can tell)...i catch on quickly...so i could make a scope and the user can use his/her own Stg skin... biggrin: ...kinda like with the bayonet...all ya gotta do is plop it in mohaa/main (mainta)...and off ya go..with ur own skin biggrin:

Would it be hard to add the 2nd fire command to use the scope or is that just adding code?
Thanks for taking up this task Guarnere

Cool man thanks again! I've seen your other models and they look great, I actually use the luger model, so hopefully you will make the stg44 look bad ass with the scope.
