I have been looking for a car that gets good fuel milage. I would prefer something that is disel, and an old German car. I have little money so Im looking for something under 2000$, and any help would be nice. Maybe you guys know of some cars others do not.

Would I look sexy in it? Thats what I want, just not sure how hard it would be to get parts for it.

I had an Intrepid...I LOVED that car....it was a 94 or something...they totally rock with a good exhaust on it...they sound bad ass. But...I sold it and now ive got a granny wagon. Olds Cutlas Supreme S....gets me to point A to point B...but chugs gas like a hooker chugs cock.

87 to 89 Jetta, you could proabably get one with a perfect body and a otttaly rebuilt engine for 1k... Although never try and fix those bastards, the Engines are a mystery even to modern mechanics, their are peices placed in not even needing to be where they are.

within years diesel will not be cheaper. Dont by a car on current trends. Think long term unless you can afford to think short term. A good 4 cyl car with a 10-15 gal gas tank will get you 500 miles per tank. Thats plenty.
