I was thinking about this one. Lets start a bet on who's going to win the election. Only two candidates, so Nader can suck off and not waste time on this thread. If you bet, then feel free to bitch and nag about the candidates because you have money invested. Plus, all canadian participants will get a ubercool bush/kerry 2004 aa.com bet pictar to show to annoying yanks who say 'omg stfu canadien, mind your own business.' Guranteed pwnage right there!

Send $1 USD to madmartagen@sbcglobal.net on paypal to join the pot. Lets keep it small to bring in more people and to keep it simple. When the election is over and a winnar is confirmed, the members who picked the winning candidate and sent a dollar to the pot will divide up the winnings.

Instructions:

Make a post with your pick (Kerry or Bush) and say that youve sent a dollar to the address. I will check on Paypal to confirm the transaction and PM you a response. When you send in your bet, include your member name, email address and your choice of candidate. Only one bet per person and no raising the stakes or changing the rules unless its a really good idea and the majority of participants agree. In that case I will refund your money and we can start over or something.

So to start off, I place a dollar on John Kerry.

it's only a dollar, it's not like its $100. I can afford a dollar to bet on the presidential election. It'll make it more exciting. like an NCAA basketball pool.

I'll work 10 minutes of overtime to pay for it.

Well, if the situation ever arose, where mad took off with our money, i'd have this to say to him:

So far we got a $2 pot with me and Himmler.
You guys basically have to trust me on this one, i dont know of any guarantee except for my word not to run off with the money. I dont even think there are 100 active members here and then you have to factor only the ones that play. I promise to keep everyone updated as to what the pot is and will keep track of all votes in excel.

EDIT: im loggin out for tonight, i will log back in and update the roster when i get home from work tomorrow around 8pm pacific.
