Well for some reason my mom got my nieces a playstation 2 for Christmas, despite the fact they both had em...anyways I've shanghighed the PS2 and found my old copy of Socom I still had for some reason.

For one thing, this new design of the ps2 is wicked. The godamn thing is no bigger then a sandwhich. I do ,however, like the fact that it has a built in modem instead of having to buy it seperate.

Anywho, anyone know any good ps2 online games? I'm thinking of checking out Socom 3 and maybe Star Wars Battlefront 2. I've also heard that they made Battlefield 2 on ps2, but not sure how it plays.

Any recomendations?

anyways, only online game I have is SSX3, online isnt the greatest, it's only 1vs 1 online, I thought it would be more like 5 people racing at once. and dont bother with SSX on Tour, I thought that game looked sick until I found out that htere wasnt any online feature to it, WTF

I wasnt gonna pick up midnight club 3, but never got around to it.

I play NBA 2004 online, sometimes. If you go to http://www.ebgames.com and check the PS2 section, select the Online games and it will give you a list of all online games.

cool. Yeah I'm checking it out now, although for some reason it doesn't have much of a selection.

ive played killzone online, it's not htat great, conrols are too stiff and you're frame rate drops like a mofo on some maps.

I've got a buddy who works at Block Buster and I think I'll go there and rent a few games.

I went up to wally world and got a mem card and hooked up now online with Socom 1. Forgot how tight this game was lol. Need to get a mic now.

Oh yeah, does anyone know if you can use a PS2 keyboard and mouse like you can on a computer?

THe problem with ONLINE GAMES for PS2 is that they die out fairly quickly (except for SOCOM obviously). I enjoyed playing Resident Evil Outbreak online, but could never figure out if I was playing with the computer or a live person. It was scary fucking fun though while I was playing it. I would simply focus on NEWER games as there is sure to be a large group plaing them. Games like SSX I gaurantee would have anyone playing.

socoms the only really decent series for it.

battle front 2 and socom 3 are great for online, but IMO battle field to sucks compared to its PC counterpart.

I've been playing Socom 3, SP and MP, and it's awesome! I didn't realize how far Online Playstation has progressed since I played it last. It's very versatile and customizable now. I like it. Only wish is I want a headset.

Very cool though. Does anyone know if you can buy those USB playstation 2 keyboard and mouses and have them work in games for controls? Also if you buy SOCOM 3, do you get a free headset?
