Default Day of Defeat mod and MOHAA - 10-09-2002, 12:04 AM

Ok fellas, I've been playing DoD for the past 2 days. It's a sweeeeeeeet game. It combines the 2 things I love Rouge Spear and WW2. it's a tactics game, squad moving and all that fun stuff! But, I like MOHAA, only now it's a little less. MOHAA is kewl, just so un-realistic from DoD. Yes I know it's a CS game, but DoD is kewl cause it's all camo'd and fun.........whatever just ranting, peaceeeeeeeeee.

Uh huh. . .DoD is fun, but I'm much for MOH:AA's type of play instead. There's some cool features in DoD that MOH dosen't have, but still, I prefer MOH.

DoD was fun, but the Half-life engine is dated if you ask me. I wish the DoD team would move to a different game or get a publisher to create a full MP based game using a new engine/

I like the fact of it's more like "Squad Move!" Stuff, the deployable MG's and .30 cal....if we put them weapons in MOHAA and just shaped up some players, we'd have a kicking game.

Nothing wrong with the "other" games out there. there is room for them all.
Just think what Dod could do with the new unreal engine. WOW . Personally I have not played it, loaded it once and did not care for it. ( very early version)

they have to be given credit to do something b4 everyone else did, including EA.

Lets hope they are looking at using the porting over to one of the newer engines, I have herd that Unreal had already released there SDK. Please correct me if I'm wrong on this.

ive been playing it too .. i like it alot .. the maps are not as cool, but the weapons, and sounds rock!! It seem much more like war ... you cant just run around firing... youve gotta move and fire from cover. The heavy mgs rule !!! I would much more see the mg42 in moh like that than just some weapon you can carry around blasting. I know it is a little old and i am behind but man it is fun !!!!

umm i dont think the dod team will let someone make their mod a game, well because Valve signed with them, they are an official mod for Halflife now, just like CS and all that addon stuff for H-L.

Ya I know...this is a perfect example of something that you know won't happen, but you wish it would. Look at what they have been able to pull off with the stuff they are working with. We can only dream about what they could do with new resources. ...

Judas thats kewl you play to. Yea I totally agree cept the sound part cause alot of them are like to 'in your face' The maps are a little weak also, and Omaha (overlord) is like waaaay to hard for allies to get up there, I get sniped allll the time.

P.S. Is that really you in your sig Judas?

i also like how when you fire at a structure you can see the impact on the walls ... like little clouds of dust, and the delayed nades are cool. I think you can pick them up and throw them back but im not sure how to do it.

If you could go prone in mohaa i think it would change the way we play it !

O yeah .. I saw a weffen ss server today while looking through the list .. is it made up of some of the guys from mohaa waffen ? ? ?
