Default Admin Alliance?? - 10-07-2002, 08:40 AM

Hey, BallBuster, you still working on Admin Alliance?

I've got 4 admins including myself, but we're all in need of experienced help. We don't know the cheats that some of you vets know and a resource of this kind would prove to be invaluable.

So when can we expect this site to become active?

He went to BF1942. Im sticking with this game. As For DOA i dont really know the future of our clan and our server. No ones taking care of the server so i dont know how to run it either. Hedoesnt even have auto kick running and the other day we had a banned name on there. If ball wants to play BF i dont care, its not my responsibilty and its not my server to run. So if any realism server is looking for Admin im here. Ball doesnt want me to run auto kick so that means all the people i banned or he has banned will just come in at anytime and kicking them wont do any good if auto kick isnt on. mad: I have 2 computers that i can play on this one and run auto kick on the other if ball doesnt care to turn it on. As for Admin Alliance like i said i dont know the furture of DOA and everyone else. If Ball and meat grinder wants to play BF then i guess ill have to look for 2 new people to replace them because it doesnt look like there coming back.

I don't suppose the release of Spearhead's gonna help things much either. That's a shame.

Thanks for the heads-up, Von. Maybe we should create the admin's alliance without them. I can host it temporarily on my site until something better comes along. Let me know guys, that's a valuable resource that's going to waste.

I can't even get the MP demo to run...and no help from EA either! So I won't be buying BF1942...

Because the MOH community is so much better then BF1942 right now.

Don't get me wrong I love BF1942 but you cant find a better bunch of friends to play online with or more people who are willing to help the community out right now then in MOH.

Give them some breathing room, when the exp comes out we will see some of them back. If EA doesn't get a patch out for BF1942, then they will be back sooner.

I still have not been able to meet up with anyone on BF1942, you guys just don't like playing with me hake:

Its kinda sad how many people are moving to BF1942. The fact just is the game runs like crap on my pc. I wish I could join everyone there whilst I wait for Spearhead, but doubtful that will come to pass. OY

Well, personally I wasn't impressed at all with bf1942. When I first tried the SP demo I thought it was pretty cool, but I was forgetting how hard it is to get people to work together when you don't know them. When I tried the MP demo I was sadly dissapointed by the lack of servers I could find and join and the lack of teamwork. Everyone wanted to either be a pilot or a tank commander and meanwhile the Japs kicked our asses. And then there seemed to be an endless supply of lag - no, bf1942 just isn't for me and I don't think I'll buy it anytime soon.

MOH, however, is like RD said. This community is a great one and the people we play with often are usually top-notch people. I wouldn't trade this community for any other.

Now, back to the topic at hand. RD, do you think BS would be willing to create an admin's forum? Something where we could all share info on cheaters, etc. And maybe make it private to only those admins that can be checked out and proven to be legit? I'm very serious about getting something going, even if it's only until Spearhead comes out and BallBuster returns to finish what he started.

Truth is, I keep hearing about all these cheats, but the other admins on my server and I are just not experienced to know what to look for in cheaters other than the tie-dyed skin listed in dumpuser. Setting something like this up is almost a necessity even with all those great tools that DM, Scorpio and CK come up with. We need to make our servers clean and fun for our regular players.

I think that would be a great idea. But right now BS has his hands full with filling Dodds position.

When the smoke clears I will pass that along to BS. It might be a rough couple of days until things get straitened out.

I just wanted to add one thing about BB. Give him a break guys. I can tell you from experience that. when putting in a lot of time in for this community, it sometimes takes a toll. and you need a break.

Lets not judge BB because he is having fun with BF1942, you never know he could be busy with other things unrelated to Internet gaming.

Oh, don't get me wrong. I wasn't trying to pass judgement on him. I'm just trying to get started what was a great idea on his part. At least that way, when he does return to the community it won't take much for him to get everything going.

Let me put it another way, I'd like for all of us to *help* him get it going.

And on the topic of BS having his hands full, I totally understand. If he has any trouble with that I will gladly host it myself. I just thought it might work out better being centralized on the most popular site in the MOH community.

Very true, Capt McCusker

If at all. I would be willing to help out over at xgshosting.com and my site I have setup.

I too think it is better suited here at AA.com this way we keep the community central.

Oh, and my statements weren't directed at anyone in particular
