Weapons Skins - Aint workin Plz Help

I've done some weapons skins but for some reason they aint working cry: I think i need to convert them into .dds i think thats the extension (my memory is bad) - but I dont' know what program to use or where to get it from so any suggestions would be great.

I only convert to dds when I make a new poster for a map. Its a low level security thing. Take the tga pic and rename it to samename.dds
But I never had to do that when I made a weapon skin.

Ok, try turning texture compression on and off. You dont need dds unless u have tex. comp. on. And, if yur doin it for SH, put it in the normal mohaa main folder rather than just mainta.

I always leave it unchecked. You need a dds file for most of the posters you edit in MOHAA. Even with texture compression off.
