OK I saw this advertised for a cheap price but I need a 2nd opinion as I don't know a whole lot about good system specs (I know I should).

Pentium 4 3.06 Ghz
256 RDRAM/ 80GB2 HDD
16X DVD ROM4 / 48X CD RW
64MB Graphics card
17" Monitor
Altec lansing speakers
Windows XP

A few things concern me, the so called "graphics card" and the speakers"

What do you guys amek of it? Crap? Could be better?

Not enough RAM, "graphics card" is scetchy, and altec lansing speakers are some picky. They work fine with my old computer, but sound like ass on my new one.

Get more details. Moslty who made the components like the "graphics card"

is the p4 one of those hyper threading ones? That alone would cost 6 or 7 hundred. eek: For a graphics card wait a month or so and get a cool Geforce FX biggrin: , And sound, Audigy 2 is nice.

OK just in:
This is something that I could mess around with if I wanted to though.

Intel Pentium 2.56GHz CPU
Intel 845EBG2 Mainboard
512MB DDR 333 RAM
80 GB Seagate 7200rpm HDD
1.44MD Panasonic Floppy Drive
LiteON 48x12x48 CD - RW
LiteON 16x DVD - ROM
Creative Soundblaster Audigy
Geforce Ti 4400 128MB Video Card
10/100 Network card
Aopen ATX Tower case.

All for $3550 Australian

This one I can make changes to though so tell me what you think of those specs.

This is what I decided to do:

P4 2.8 on an Asus
1GB RDRAM
120GB HD
Ti4600
Turtle Beach Santa Cruz
And the rest is just gravy...

Gonna cost me around 1800, mainly cause of the RAM
