Kicking Cheaters -
12-17-2002, 01:50 AM
Ok latley there have been some major cheaters on a few servers, inparticular the "Pants" clan...Piss Pants,Poo Pants etc these guys are total dipshits.
I mainly play on Internod OBJ, now of course everyone knows about the kneeling MG cheat in Omaha, but don't use it, except the Pants Pricks, they are really spoiling the server.....what I need to know... Is when I go to kick them, their nick might contain a space "Poo<space>Pants" in it so therefore I get an error saying that the players nick is invalid, what is the go with kicking ppl with spaces in their nicks...please help

Um, i dont run a server. But ah, cant you get their client number and kick them with those? OR, maybe use an underscore? Eh, someone answer it, lol, besides these two, i have no idea.
Oh, and Hi HDD. =)

It's easy to kick them, and this is the only way I kick people:
rcon status
This brings up a list of players with numbers to the left of the nicks. Find the offender's name and his/her/its corresponding number. This number is called the client number.
rcon clientkick #
And it is quite literally that simple.

Yes I agree......on the other hand.....for minor crimes i prefer to vote people off. Makes it fairer. But cheating is a penalty abided by only death (if the cheat allows it) otherwise boot em.
Another of my most infamous tricks is on Brest........2 guys (me and a team mate) vs a guy who liked using rockets (although our room clearly stated it was No Rockets) and when we booted him....he came back....so he was allies and me and my team mate stood in the buildings opposite Allied Spawn Site and shot his ass. Hehehehe
He never came back!![/quote:202da]

Yeah, i prefer the vote as well. Unless there is a very destructive n00b that you know no one wants around.

Continuing on with the subject:
I have many reasons. Most of them are posted in other posts. If you wanna know them, you'll have to look at the other posts. And apparently this bitchy forum is telling me i have over 50 posts a day. *cough-bullshit-cough*

Thanx for the quick reply fellas, but I really forgot to mention that the kick would be by the vote method and not the clientkick (not my server).
I think it must be my server to use the client kick, I might be wrong oOo:
Yeah I just got "bad rconpassword"
and the underscore doesn't work either.

They don't nescessarly have to be a clan. They could just be a group of friends that like to screw around on peoples servers, thats all. Just because they're all named after Pants dosen't mean thats their clan name.

I think that's what he was saying when he put "Pants" in quotations, Joe =P
I often refer to a group of people as a clan
