Default video settings wont save - 01-06-2003, 10:51 PM

i recently reinstalled both mohaa and spearhead, and noticed that any video settings i change do not save whenever i quit the game and then restart it for example, the game won't stay in 1028x768 but rather in 800 x 600 any ideas? thanks

mine only does that the 1st time after installing.. I try to change it to 1024x768, hit apply, then QUIT the game.. When I come back it's 800x600 again!... But when I do the exact same thing one more time.... it saves the next time.

You could alternatively add this line to your unnamedsoldier.cfg

seta r_mode "6"

but that's only for 1024x768 32bit.. Not sure what number to use for other combinations. But I would guess it's...

seta r_mode "1" (640x480 16bit)
seta r_mode "2" (640x480 32bit)
seta r_mode "3" (800x600 16bit)
seta r_mode "4" (800x600 32bit)
seta r_mode "5" (1024x768 16bit)
seta r_mode "6" (1024x768 32bit)

And so on...

I've had a few people have this happen. nStuff probably has the best suggestion. More than likely, one of your old registry files is preventing the over-writing of your .CFG file. Next time you want to uninstall/reinstall, do it this way:
