Pioneer? Gakkkk . .. .

Ok, d00d. . .first off, good for you. You're actually putting in a system, where I neglect to. I don't think my 91 Ford Escort would be to happy with a system, whereas a 50W X 4 radio, and 4 180W speakers blew the damn wiring! I had to get the damn thing rewired, lol

My point is though, return the Pioneer crap, (thats for a car like MINE, not yours) and get MTX, man. You'll be happy that you did, trust me. They are supreme compared to others, man.

EEEEK! mtx? seriously? their thunder8000 is a nice sub but other than that mtx is nothin special. For $60 a pop my pioneers can pull some beautiful sq and get damn loud cabin ported tuned to 33hz. And dont think I'm talkin outa my ass caz I've researched this stuff extensively (where do you think iv been this whole time ) and the pioneers are easily the best bang for the buck. My other option I was thinking the Alpine type R's... awesome subs but twice the price as mine and not twice the sound...

ha how is that possible? Did you have a short somewhere? your radio puts out no more than 25watts rms which even 18 guage wire can handle fine.

You loser. . .

I dunno, the guy that fixed it said it pushed out too many watts and they had to rewire the fauker directly from the battery. It was madness. I was like "All this for a radio??!?!"

Ahh car audio...that brings back memories of highschool. I lived and breathed that stuff! I've grown out of it now. My '02 Mustang's Mach 460 is enough for me now. Maybe later on down the road i'll upgrade again.

Nice system man!!

Installing all that stuff is a pain in the arse isn't it? The system I put in my first car was a battery killer. Every time the bass hit my headlights would dim. The alternator couldn't keep the voltage up so I replaced it and put a second battery in the trunk. Those were the days...

I have a nice system now too. It's in boxes in a closet because my current car isn't worthy...
Sony 50Wx4 head unit
Sony 7-band EQ
two Orion amps (both 500W)
3 1/2" round and 6"x9" Infinity Kappas
one Rockford Fosgate amp (I forget the wattage)
12" 1000W JBL intercooled competition sub

Good luck with yours. It looks killer, nice install. The neon lights add a nice touch to the interior too.
