Default Outlook Express & Virus Scanning? - 01-09-2003, 07:33 PM

Anyone know if there is an option somewhere in OE to have it use your virus scanner to check email for viruses?

I would just say don't use Outlook at all.

I know three Microsoft employees, and all three absolutely refuse to use Outlook or Outlook Express. Two of them won't even use IE, and the third only does because he debugged it himself.

yeah. in norton there should be "e-mail scanning" you want to make sure there is a green check mark beside it and it will always scan your email. blah i have a virus from kaz and it keeps changing me outlook password cry: and norton wont get rid of it!

Use Zone Alarm and it will also check e-mail with norton, and turn off all attachments that can contain viruses in the options. Then you can delete what you want and then turn the option back on to get certain attachments.
