Default Sound issues. - 01-16-2003, 04:47 PM

I had this minor issue with, MoH:AA, but the problem is worse now with Spearhead. Some of the weapons have no sound when I shoot (there will be sound once in a great, great while). It's not a huge deal, but it would be nice to have the sound when I shoot! The weapons with these problems include:

Colt 45 (from mohaa)
Lee Enfield Rifle
Mosin Nagant Rifle
All mortars
Main gun in the T-34

Could be my awesome 3 year old sound card (don't even remember what kind), but I figured it couldn't be that, because why would some sounds work and not the others?
Help would be appreciated.

Try updating all your drivers, also if you have a slow computer it lags and the sounds will not play.

It may be caused by custom maps / mods.

What kind of sound card do you have, Harper?

I have a SoundBlaster Live! and I had the same problem. Here something to try if you havwe the same card:

1.Go to Programs, Creative, Audio HQ, Sound Font.

2.Select the third tab, Options. You can allocate a little less than half of your system RAM to the sound font cache.

This helps, but does not cure the sound dropping out.

I'm having the same issue. If the update of the drivers won't work, then you mighr just want to wait for the patch to release in a week or two.
