I see the exact same specs for both of them. eek:
Maybe that extra "-2" costs a pretty penny. Ask a seller.

Is that refresh rate high enough for serious gaming? I am looking at those very monitors and counting paychecks until I can get one. *drools*

well I called a reseller and they said it is the upgraded version of it....wtf? if all the specs are the same...oh yeah and I tried to call viewsonic but no dice. this monitor is perfect for games, one of the best refresh rates I could find for this amount of money and it has a great .25 mm pitch

Is there a bogus glare/whatever that makes it look funky when not looking at it from the direct front center? My friend's flat-screen does that, I hate it.

A lot of times manufacturers will have different model numbers of the same product for different retailers. Ciruit city used to garauntee that no one oucld match their price or they would double the difference. Well, no one had the same products, they had their own unique models. Usually just one or two letters added to the end. Instead of a model 1500, they had a 1500-c.
I think i found the monitor i am going to get today. Its the 21" viewsonic p815. Its used, but for $260 and a year warranty, I will take that risk. I says its in A condition and has a 4 port usb bus on it. I might have to buy it tonight.
