I've been thinking of buying one ever since I saw it on Best Buy two days ago. I wonder if I should, $85 is not too bad. Anybody bought one? If so let me know what you think.

GameBoy Advanced ?? If thats what GBA stands for, dont waste your cash, save it for something better. I had a go of one today and, uhm, I think playing a handheld tetris game that costs $5 was more fun and rewarding. Dont waste your cash.

Well, I'll get alot of flames for this post, but...

Don't bother..there are already several emulators out doing a marvelous job of emulating the GBA.

Of course, you can download the roms on any good IRC chan/fserve or FTP if you're relatively savvy

I do however believe the GBA is a wonderful piece of hardware worthy of purchase ..

It all comes down to this :

If you aren't going to travel much, get an emulator and the roms..

If you have a laptop, get the emulator and roms.. lord knows you can do much more on a laptop than with simply the GBA.

If you have no laptop and intend on travelling, well, buy one

I'm not one who travels too much. And when I do I'm usually reading a WWII book. But if I do want to play a little game all I need is a simple Game Boy Color...maybe in the future I'll get a GBA...you know..for kicks.
