Okay, I've tried re-installing DX8, but it won't overide gay ass DX9!

You can't. It warns you of that when you begin the install. You'll have to reinstall your OS or do a restore of your HD before you had DX9.

What windows do you have? It wont let you overwrite 9 becuase you still have dx 7 and 8 as well as 9. Games use one of those 3, they wont use dx 9 unless they are designed to do so.

Close enough to what I said, lol I said that microsoft has authorized the software to be the full shareware version, but it's still relatively new, and could still be considered beta. oOo:

Try searching google.com for "DirectX 9 Uninstaller" there's a 3rd party uninstaller somewhere. Stick to DirectX 8.1a for now, boys and girls.
