Final Update

Once again here I am. After 4 days 10 hours and 24 mins of not sleeping.. I...ZZzzzzzzz Oh.. Did I fall asleep? Anyway. Here is the final update before the offical release of the TDM map now titled IRON TUSK. After a long stretch of programing and mapping, play testing , and countless cups of coffee I have the final update for you here.
My image service sucks so I changed it. So I am gonna delete the old ones. Too bad other places don't have that. :cry:
Here is the scene that took forever to time. But it came out oh so sweet.

The lighting has not even been implemented yet. Nor and props. So expect the final version to be full of great hiding places. :wink:

Well that's gonna do it for this one. The next one will be the release link and maybe a few shots before that happens. I'll need beta testers to play this one into the ground for me because I live deep in the mountians and I am miles from anything that even comes close to cable.
In summary this map will pit the allies against the axis split by a river. The allies camp has yet to be revealed, I'll just leave that for you to see after the release. Please post your comments, because I really need feedback from these pics.

very awesome map and very good work by you. one question, are the explodong buildings scripted or will they be blown at any moment by nades and rockets?

Some are triggers blown and timed to blow with the planes. I am placing the triggers in places where the viewer won't have to worry about .5 sec lag on the triggers getting you killed. Some are exploders scripted for you little pyros out there. biggrin: I made this a map with an everchanging environment. It's for players who want something different online. I am working on setting wait times for the clouds to come in and the rain to fall also to put out fire and the fog begins. This is gonna be so much fun.

Thanks for all the replies guys. I'm glad you like thge looks of the map. Can't wait till people can play it. I'll launch it on spearhead and get back to you whether or not it works. I do have snk for sh. The sequel to this map is going to be Spearhead all the way. This is a three part series called Iron Tusk.

I launched it on spearhead and it worked but was full of glitches so I'm just gonna compile it as a spearhead map and add some spearhead stuuf too it after I release =IRON TUSK=. biggrin:
The map is going good. I'm racking up the fps more and more. I play tested it for about an hour today and wrote down a list of glitches I need to iron out for the release this weekend. I changed the atmosphere to raining with slight fog, and snipers last stand ambient sounds i.e. planes flying, explosions etc. I figured it was more fitting for the amount of chaos.

Looks awesome, man. One question: What kind of a hit will FPS take with all that stuff going on? Will it bog down crappy machines like my 550MHz?

Testing it on a low end machine I found that with it on 16 bit it ran fine. If your computer can play battlefield 1942 it can play IRON TUSK. Other than that I guess youll have to just find out.

Well it won't be long now. I really thank you all for your patience as I try and get this bad larry it's just rewards. Play testing begins tomorrow night and goes into Fri.and Sat. Sat. I hope to have a Beta version for you all.
I changed the atmosphere so I hope you guys like it. The sound is great and the rain really adds a nice touch. I said screw all the fog. Who the hell wants to peer through thick fog when you are trying to snipe?
Give me some feed back because this is the crucial stage of development.
