So I'm perusing the aisles of Best Buy in search of a microphone. Low and behold I come the section of soundcards. In a need of a new one, I impulse by a Soundblaster Audigy gamer sound card, along with a new mic. The diffrence between the Audigy and my old Soundblaster is like night and day! Everything's so much clearer, more bassy with my 5.1 surround sound and alot better for gaming. I can hear a bird shit 4 miles away with these things! I suggest you go get this card. It's a good price and well worth it. |

I was thinking of getting the Audigy two, but considering I don't have 6.1 and it was a bit more. I went with the downgrade. It only cost me 100.00 plus the mic. I think the total was 125? |

the hard part is trying to maximize sound out of my cards, im kinda disappointed but what do you expect from a small room with 3 windows and a door, the sound gets lost very easily and it is difficult to tell surround sound |

I've got a SB Live! 5.1, pretty good card. My what the difference over onboard sound. I had some weird speakers that were crap until Christmas, when I got the Inspire 5.1 speakers. They kick ass, although I have only been able to get the center speaker to work in the Surround Mixer test, and in Unreal 2, doesn't work for DVDs or anything else for some reason. I want to get an Audigy Gamer, it's only $70 here. Might be on my next thing to get list. |
