Default How do i create a .cfg file / set up a dedicated server????? - 03-03-2003, 10:52 PM

How can i create a .cfg file for the dedicated server i am trying to set up? Also, can anyone help me with setting up this server? Im so frikin confused, and nothing seems to work. I have a computer and legit copied of mohaa/mohaaas to run the servers.

Thanks for the plug quickfist biggrin:

Stop by my site MOHadmin and look under the guides section. You will find sample server.cfg files as well as all the rcon commands.

You may also want to stop by the forums where other admins will be able to help you with your MOH admin problems.

Ok i figured out the .cfg files, but when i do evrything the guides say to do, i get some bs, and my game dosnt show up in gs or mohaa browser..... GRR.

This is what the console says when i try to run the dedicated server:

What are you calling your server.cfg

in one place it looks like custom.cfg in your shortcut it looks like tonight.cfg

Make sure you naming your correct cfg in the shortcut. and placing it in the main dir. ( for MOHAA )

Also, if you like post your cfg file, JUST REMEMBER TO REMOVE YOUR RCON PASWORD biggrin:

Also the P3 Message on the console is default, it will not regonize P4's, or RAM on Video cards over 64MB.

i used the mohadmin.com premade TDM config (just to see if things will work). ya.... the config is now called: serverNEW.cfg

Does anybosy know whats going on,, i ran the server, but it dosnt show up on GameSpy, i dont think in game browser either. Could the fact that this isnt a legit copy of allied assault have anything to do with the prob? I tried dedicated server on spearhead which is legit, and it dosnt seem to work either. V 1.11 also.

Well, you should be using a legit copy. Especialy asking for help on a MOH forum.
