Default Restricting MG-42 movement - 03-17-2003, 06:22 AM

So it can only move about 270 from where I put it...any ideas?
Also, alot of the static models like cars and pianos are walkthrough....?

Hey eas

As far as the MG-42, in the entity window (press n when mg-42 is highlighted) use this
key: maxyawoffset
value: 70
This means it will swing 70 degrees from its axis.
As far as walkthrough models, build clip brushes around them. In the texture category 'common' there is a texture called clip. Make brushes inside your vehicle with this texture. Players can't see it ingame and it will stop them from walking inside models.

That would be 70 degrees from it's center of 0.....70 left, 70 right. Just to clarify. Depends on your situation for the MG, generally within the normal field of view more than 45 will get you bumping into/going through walls that the MG could be sitting on....or jumping back and forth over sandbags if the angle is too wide.
