Leaders have, throughout time, "attacked" their own and blamed it on
others to have reasons to occupy or go to war. I don't have the history
link on hand but I'll find it: there are plenty of examples. I'm not saying
WTC was one of them, but a LOT of information was withheld and many
investigations halted. Why ? Conspiracy theorists still have a field day
with this one...
EDIT:
This quote is gold...
"Why of course the people don't want war ... But after all it is the leaders of the country who determine the policy, and it is always a simple matter to drag the people along, whether it is a democracy, or a fascist dictatorship, or a parliament, or a communist dictatorship ... Voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is to tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger." — Hermann Goering, Nazi leader, at the Nuremberg Trials after World War II
Not always the case, but a lot of truth in this.

In theroy, they say most people die in mid-air, from heart failure. When the brain realizes there's nothing to save them, they go into shock, then cardiac arrest, causing a sudden heart failure. So they're dead before they hit the ground. If you actually saw those people falling in person, as I did, you can see they didn't fail or even scream while falling.

its really too long to read it all but its got an interesting point. soli's talking about an roman emporor , forgot his name, he set rome on fire and then tried to put it out to make him look like the hero. it was a proven fact that he was borderline psychotic
