Default Computer burn out - 04-10-2003, 12:27 PM

Hey, I need some advice here.

My bro loaded up powerpoint, tried to play his presentation. Monitor goes into sleep mode.

Now, the problems. Monitor never wakes up (monitor works, tested with alternative monitor, same problem)

The only way to shut down is with the switch on the back.

When starting, there are no beeps ( )

Even when you start it again, the monitor doesnt come on. So, you cant see the bios screen or anything.

When I take out the ram, the mobo beeps at me. I THINK I have bad ram, and Ive already bought more (I could use it anyway...)

Can you guys think of anything else to try? Thanks,

Might be a video card issue, too.

I just hope its not the vid card. Ill switch it around and see.

I was thinking ram, because I dont get the normal POST beep when starting, but I get beeps when I remove the ram.

Besides, rams alot cheaper than a video card (gf3 ti 500)

And the ram has a lifetime warranty biggrin:
