Default Downloading Speeds from my DSL - 04-15-2003, 06:00 AM

Ok I have Sbc Yahoo Dsl, and it kicks ass for ping wize for my gaming but,
Whenever i download something i get like 150kb/s , i was wondering for any of you guys/ladies get the same speed or slower or faster if you pay for your cable or dsl for same price as me " 49.99" a month.
I cant afford much more than that right now but if i have to should I?
Looking forward for some comments and answers, thanks alot.

i get a ping of about 110 in MOH & about 80-90 in BF1942. my parents pay about 50$ for it every month. also my downloads average around 60-80kbps. but i dont complain much because theirs only one company you can get in the area & its either this or 56k.

I pay about 45 USD for cable. Sharing this with roommates.

Ping: Typically around 50.

Download: average: 200 kB/s down, but on many occasions 300+.
Upload: 16 kB/s. Wow.

Speeds are in bytes, not bits.

I wouldn't complain if I had 150 KB/sec

My DL/UL is 25.6 kb/sec and my pings are usually 150-200 in most games. I pay $39.99, but MSN is a piece of shit and keeps dropping me all the time, so I'm hoping to get Comcast, 1.5mbps for $42.99

Well, I don't live in the US, so that would be a 'no' I guess.

I have DSL, and my game pings can range from 20 to 300.

As for downloads, the highest I get consistently is 65 KB/s.

How much does it cost in the States for a deacent Download/upload speed?
i hear it's pretty expensive but so far no one has been able to give me a price for their connection.

Btw. i got 10Mbit (that's like T2 in american standard) and it costs me about 30 bucks a month.
Avrage download speed is 800kb/s while and upload is about 600kb/s. and I can have several connections open. Max output is 1.2mb/s Out and 1.2mb/s in, full duplex
