Default TFC 2 for HL2?? - 04-25-2003, 07:00 PM

Hey looks it's me...again! And to my post.

Yes the lone game that everyone that considers themselves fans of FPS owns is about to get a number 2 slapped beside it this fall! Yes you'll be grabbing your trusty crowbar and once again be kicking some evil, want to destroy humans, Alien ass! And from the few, and very rare, screen shots I have been able to look upon as of late, the game is bound to live up to the five years of hype it has been getting. But that's not all kiddies! The one thing that has made Half-Life withstand the test of time (Which is VERY short when it comes to most games) is that the Mods were just off the charts! I mean we had Mods coming out all over the place, and my god they could have sold for full priced games!!! Now get this... Recently Valve as told CNN (yup C-N-N) that HL2 would be more moddable (is that a word?) than the first one! Now how the hell they are going to pull that off, I don't know, but I cannot wait to find out! Maybe, Just maybe, the DoD that we have only been able to dream of is coming our way a lot sooner then any of us would have thought!

Now onto the point of this thread. A few years ago it was said that the mod TFC 2 was in the works and it would be coming out in 2001. Will it's been two...nearly three years and I don't see no new TFC! Valve has said, again with CNN, that they hadn't tossed the project and that they are still working on it. They went on to say that that once HL2 is done then will provide a full update on how TFC 2 is working out. But recent rumors state that TFC 2 may just be the MP component for HL2! ...Interesting. I wouldn't bet on it at this point, then again I wouldn't I wouldn't spit all over the idea either. You be the judge.

when you dont have to downlaod various other 3rd party programs just to make a single map. it must also be easy to activate, where you dont have to replace existing game files and such
