I don't have anything against people experimenting with PSP or photoshop...hell, I encourage it! But, to ask for a sig one day, have one custom made to order, then use it for 10 seconds is a bit disheartening for the sigmaker, ya know?
If you knew you were going to make your own stuff, you shouldn't have asked for a sig in the first place.
