Capt.
this game for multi will be laden with cheats and hacks and if thats what ya want good for ya!
the console game aspect I was trying to get out was that on a console game you can cheat to your hearts content and all your doing is cheating yourself and nobody else!But being released on a Pc it will ruin alot of peeps view of the game!Because of all the cheaters!

its too late.. the design ruined it.
The cheaters and haxxers dont make a difference when you are an adult who plays with other adults.

Im starving.. I get a big bowl and fill it with as many marshmellows as I can. I fill the bowl with nice cold milk and sit down to gorge and get ready for a nice suger high.
I take a nice big soup spoon full of marshmellowy goodness only to find my milk expired last week!

I agree if ya can find a good group it will be worth your while!But as you probably have seen with other FPS on Geyspy or other servers they hard to come by!
I myself have been playing a few FPS and it's a sad state of affairs when you just try and play the game as it was meant to be just to be cheated!
I myself have been playing RS for2 years and have seen it go from a good all around game, To just laughing my head off seeing all the cheaters!Plus it's fun beating cheaters cause they think there the "Bomb" and when they get beat they think ohhh you must be cheating!

Dasher,
you ever play any mmorpgs?
they are somewhat cheatproof.
I been playing online games for over 10yrs back when I use to put my phone handset into the modem.
Ive never ever seen a fps online that isnt riddled with 12yr old cheating asswipes.
Even games like AoE and AoK were riddled with cheaters. Its a sad state but I expect it.
Paying $10 a month to play an online mmorpg is worth every penny cause they squash *most exploits with-in days.

I agree with ya bout the 12yr olds and it's a shame!
Yeah I play WWIIOL and ufort it has some clipping issues.But it should be squashed with the next patch.
lol I remember those days pay by the hour, god my phone bill then hurt big time.
I also have played many others in the past 10yrs.

whow wait a minute!!!!!
Is WWII on-line playable now? Is it better then when it was released? Would you reccomend it to a FRIEND?
Im basically a man without a game here, Im sick of AO,UO,DAOC,EQ and after 2 hours sick of MoHAA cause of the trash obj maps.
I been avoiding WWIIol like the plauge since beta.

it has gotten a helluva alot better!
If you have a high end rig then yes I would recommed it!Plenty of Ram is needed.
they are continuing to upgrade but the procsess is alittle slow right now as "CRS" have went through some restructuring!
the only bad aspect of the game is still the flight model.The inf model is constantly being tweaked and has some issues also.as I stated before clipping issues,But they are patching this as well.
So yes I would recommend it!
like you say mmorpgs they are constantly being patched!

Since I posted this I was checking the site. Im shocked they dont have a free week trial like Anarchy Online did.

actually bud they had a free trail a couple of weeks ago!
They were trying to get peeps back from when they released the game and had some probs!
sorry ya missed it.
but if ya have the game already and just didnt go pay for play then I say sign up for a month and give it a try!
And don't pay attention to 90% of the forum posters there,,as alot of developers say only 10% of the buyers actually read the forums

as a side note maybe another stick of 256 of ram might be alot helpful!
I have a p3 600 320megs of ram and a voodoo3 3000
and the only major probs I have is when the battles get real intense and I mean real intense!
But that has alot to do with the vid card mostly!

I just found this in the wwIIol forums.
Looks like this is the chance I was waiting for. After all the bad press they got I was hesatent to buy it even with the free month.

Free Trial Download
Starting later this month we wil be running a special 7-day free trial through one of the web's leading download services, Gigex. The promotion will allow new players to download the entire application and establish an account entitling them to 7 days of free play time. At the end of the trial, they will need a retail CD key to continue playing. This will be promoted all over the web including a big push through Yahoo. They can even have a CDROM with the application mailed to you for S&H only if they don't want to download the application. More details will be announced in the next several days but if you have friends who want to try the game before buying, this is their chance

with the release tomorrow w/o "all features" being in the game... i woulda been just fine with them pushing it back again if they could get everything in like all the prone animations... im glad its coming out and all tomorrow but everything needs to be there..
what do you all think?

I got it this morning..

Single Player-Top notch fun. 10/10
Multiplayer Deathmatch- Top notch fun. 10/10
Multiplayer Objective based- Utterly disapointing!!! 0/10

I looked forward to the obj based maps more then ANYTHING and Im just dumbfounded by the chokepoints. To those who enjoyed the granade spamming in THe Hunt will be happy. To those who enjoy getting to the chokepoint to be blasted by a 'zooka you will enjoy it.
I cant stress enuf how poorly designed the objective based maps are.

I wouldnt of bought it at all if it was a console game.
I didnt even buy it for the single player aspect.
I bought it for MP use. A fps against bots is boring as hell. And so are the objective maps.
