Default Breakthrough Multihome borked? - 09-13-2003, 01:34 AM

Trying to run 2 breakthrough servers on a single box with unique ips --

(the box's network is fine...)

X:\moh_breakthrough_server_demo.exe +set net_port 12203 +set net_ip 69.251.86.37 +set dedicated 1 +set ui_console 1 +exec lib_server.cfg

Y:\moh_breakthrough_server_demo.exe +set net_port 12203 +set net_ip 69.251.86.38 +set dedicated 1 +set ui_console 1 +exec lib_server.cfg

The first one launched appears to grab all IPs on the box, forcing the second to give a UDP error and jump up to 12204.

So then I said, ok, I'll use the same IP but use 12203 and 12204 to run 2 instances -- which works if you join the second server by IP:PORT, however joining by GameSpy results in a bork.

Anyone got multihome working on this?

That's the problem with trying to run two servers from the same IP. Once you start the second server it will increment the port number by 1.

As far as GS is concerned. tell me more about your network setup ( home / work , router or no router.

Also you can barely run one MOH server from a basic cable connection let alone a full T1.

Give me more info on your network and I will try and help.

if your looking for a quicker reply check out my site at http://www.mohadmin.com for all your moh game server needs

good luck
