Dont you feel sorry for the grunts that were serving in the German army?? I mean, they didnt really care, they were only fighting because they were forced too.. I was reading a book where 2 Germans were in the Ardennes or Hurtgen (i forgot) and they were pinned behind a rock.. Finally the young soldier wanted to question why he was fighting before he died.. Before his buddy could answer he was shot.. And that German soldier spent his whole life questioning why he was firing at Americans, Brits, Canadians... Why he marched so far away from home to be at a war he didnt understand.. He managed to escape from the Hurtgen and ended up fighting at the Final battles in Berlin... He questioned an Officer why they were fighting so hard and that Officer could not answer.. Soon after that all those men that were with the officer surrendered.. And they hated Hitler (true story
