Boil some water and soak a straight pin in it for a minute or so.

Clean the area around the sliver with some hydrogen peroxide or even a product like Polysporin. Try to dig the sliver out with the pin (suck it up, ya woman). If/when you get it out, apply some more peroxide/polysporin and cover the area with a Band-Aid.

If you can't manage to dig it out, I'd go to a clinic. You don't exactly want fibreglass under your skin.

Soak in hot water... this will loosen pores... then put in really cold water. Pores will contract really fast and force it up... then hot water again. Usually after this you can remove it with tweezers or a pin.

Try what zoner said but don't go to a clinic if unsuccessful. It will eventually work it's way out enough so that you can get to it

I swear I still have a 2cm peice of wire from a spring in a pen stuck in my index finger. You can still see the black wire through my skin, but it's too deep to dig. No pain, but it's a bitch to try to get out. Someday. . .

wires and slivers will work themselves out, the body doesnt want them so it will push them out. Many years ago I had my jaw wired shut and one of the wires broke. About 2 weeks later I had what felt like a real hard pimple so I went back to the jaw doc, he made an insision and pulled a 4inch piece of metal (wire) out of my face, it was awesome. It seemed to keep coming, like it came from my foot. Real weird but real kool. The human body is an awesome thing

Remember this!!!! It only hurts 'til the pain goes away!!!
