Here's the best explanation I have found for those foot pads:

"The footpads are loaded with chemical indicators (compounds that change colors when the general environment changes appropriately, i.e. reacting to a pH change or the change in concentration of a specific compound such as urea). Your body uses sweat as a method of removing urea - the reason sweat marks are sometimes yellow. So your feet sweat all day and night and the pad is loaded with an indicator that changes color to black when the pH becomes more acidic (urea is acidic)."

my favorite commercial is the automatic tweezers for females. I don't know the name of the product, but the commercial is memorable, as its basically an electric razor for females (and all the examples were of women shaving their mustaches.. haha)

how about the one that "lets you hear far away things"? hahah They have the person checking the mail and then these 'headphones' are on her head and she can overhear the neighbors talking about her. There's another scenario when the people have it in their ears and then they hold the receiver up in front of their faces during a church service. ahahah

I saw that on tv, its probably full of shit.

There was one about a light you can put on your ear like a bluetooth headset so you can see around in dark places. Some of the examples they used were logical, like fixing a car at night or something, but another use was "seeing the menu in a low lit restaurant." I said to my dad "if anyone did that, everyone else would automatically assume you are a complete asshole." its pretty much true for a lot of as-seen-on-tv products.
