Default Irish Folk Music... - 05-24-2004, 09:59 AM

If you guys know any good irish folk music can you please post it here. Somehow Irish Folk music just moves me whether happy or sad. I was walking down this street and I head this wonderful piece done by a man on the violin and it almost made me cry.
I especially want to know the names of instrumental songs.

Irish drinking songs are the best to sing when you are fookd rock:

I highly recommend singing these when you are wasted;
By the Dubliners:

The Wild Rover

Whisky in the jar

It's all for me grog

beer:

If you want instrumental & a bit more romance etc then try the theme tune to Patriot Games or the Lord of the Dance of something.

I just downloaded the theme for Braveheart. But seriously the song I listened to on the strreet jsut moved me so much.

P.S I want violin songs. I found a good artist called Laurie Anderson.
A violin duet song. I think the album is called United States Live.
