Lets get this straight people, even to the guyz who have this man is their sig, he wasn o hero, he was no great president. If you need any great convincing read this bit over. Im tired of seeing on CNN every 5 seconds some conservative go on about how great this guy was. He was no hero he just fucked America over and convinced us that he did a great job.

Read it all threw. Don't make any bullshit replies unless you read the God danm article over. Now let the bombs be dropped and the gunfire open up.
SOme quotes of.... Reagen.. Wisdom....

Oh yes, I quite expect anything non-partisan from a San Francisco paper. Oh no they certainly have no agenda against the President who didnt do "enough" Aids Awarness (you make the connections yourself on why San Fran would be bitter about that).

it is a lot deeper then that TGB, your only reading the first paragraph. It builds up to the more important facts as it goes on. Read a bit.

At this point i stopped reading. No serious writer would use the word uber, unless it were a German paper.

This is typical, partisan-biased bullshit. I could make arguments for how terrible a president Clinton was while he snowed the American public. NAFTA, for instance. Short-term boost as production rises and prices fall, triggering consumer-spending. Meanwhile jobs are eliminated by the thousands every single day as factories outsource. Suddenly there is no more money going back into the pockets of the average American. Clinton got lucky that the tech boom and the dot com boom covered his ass, and right after Bush took office, before he passed a single bill even through the House, let alone the Senate, the dot com crash and the tech crash happen, and suddenly every-fucking-one sees the economy is completely unstable and somehow it's all George Whatthefuckjusthappened Bush at fault. Good job on the spin, Demis.
And fuck that analysis. Reagan wasn't great because he cured cancer or led us out of a depression, he was great because he inspired the American people to be proud of being American again, not to mention breaking the back of the Soviet Union. So go fuck yourself and have some respect for the deceased.

you stope reading it because it said uber ? are you fucking kidding me ? It is a proper word to use, perfectly fine. If your small minded enough to stop reading it becasue of that then seriously. At least read the quotes, which in term really charecterize the prick Reagen was. + if you need big words misc in order to satisfy your intelectual level, read on he uses plenty of them to make you happy.

[quote:69e6d]Ronnie Reagan deregulated major industry and essentially loosed corporate America upon an unsuspecting populace, including the savings-and-loan companies, all while opening the national treasury for his wealthy pals to loot. He promised a crackdown on out-of-control deficit spending while working furiously to double the national debt. "Reagan taught us that deficits don't matter," oozed a very proud Dick Cheney, sneeringly.
But let's be fair. Let's look on Ronnie's good side, the legacy, the reason tens of thousands are mourning the Gipper's passing and why an aging boomer nation is still held rapt by this most beguiling and masterful of proto-American Hollywood salesmen.
Reagan was, as widely noted, a pragmatist. He was a seductive charmer. Gracious. He stood by his warped ideals and admitted his mistakes and followed through on many of his promises, even if those promises mutilated progressive ideas and stomped on the environment and gave piles of money to the wealthy, all while sucker-punching the poor and the working class and promising them nice shiny pennies and a big heap of false hope if they'd just shut the hell up.
[/quote:69e6d]
That pretty much sum's up your last statement their Noctis. You basicly fell for a con job.
You tend not to argue the facts but go off topic and bring clinton into this. Your using the fact that Reagen basicly fooled America over into feeling good and you see this as a good thing. I don't know how you find "conning" Americans into thinking he was great as a good thing for a powerful world leader....Honestly its this type of public con job's that facists and Nazi's used in order to win over their populace. may he rip, but lets not give this man a spot on RUshmore or consider him one of the great presidents, he was nothing of the sort, not even close.

Maybe it was the condicending remarks made between paragraphs. Maybe it was the fact that the report was biased. Or maybe it was simply the fact that i dont really care about a dead president's reputation as seen by someone out to simply attack his past. All that just seemed to diswayed me from continuing to read such an assinine article. The use of "uber" was just icing on the cake. I hate icing.

It's not deep at all.
1. All presidents have had at least one person idicted on their staff; whether in a cabinet or advisor. This is no new news and shouldnt even be close to being treated as some isolated Regean happening.
2. The country was in the shitter economically following Carters presidency. Regean came in and created a new federal policy. The short version of Regeans federalism simply restructured gov to not be so fucking involved in states and their programs which creats federal red tape and bullshit.
3. National/Trade Debt/Deficit. Look at the Clinton years.
The article is a textbook case of playing partisan journalism. Regean should have been impeaced for Contra-Gate - then why wasnt he? Oh yea, big Right Wing Conspiracy. Oh no he negotiated with Saddam Hussein. Well we better get Chirac in chains since good ol France gave a young Hussein a tour of their nuclear facilities. Whoo Hooo!!

And why don't I listen to your political commentary? Placed in the order they appear:
stope = stop
your = you're
small minded = small-minded
becasue = because
[...] seriously. = Where is the rest of the sentence?
term = turn
charecterize = characterize
Reagen = Reagan
[...] was. = Don't end sentences with prepositions
+ = Forget how to spell? It's plus.
[...] words misc [...] = [...] words, misc, [...]
intelectual = intellectual
level = Doesn't make sense. How about prowess?
[...] read on, = Run-on sentence. Should be: [...] read on. He [...]
If you're going to hold a big boy conversation, you need to try and speak like one, okay? Thanks.
EDIT:: My point above was that the same types of jabs could be taken at any President, numb nuts.
