Default ABORTION POEM. . . - 07-18-2004, 12:07 AM

Mother keep me safe, Mother keep me warm
And with all your love, Mother help me form
I’m six weeks old today, and a birthday gift to me
Is a pair of bright blue eyes, so that one day I may see
I’ve already got my arm’s, I’ve got my pudgy nose
And at the end of my feet are funny things called toes.
I’m looking forward to life, stories of Celtic tales
Teddy bears and laughter, fun and squashing snails
Where are you going I wonder today?
On a bus far away!
Why are you lying down, being pushed on four wheel’s
This doesn’t normally happen how funny it feels

Banging through the doors, all the people in green
If they HURT you mother, Mother Scream!
Please don’t go to sleep mother, please don’t leave me alone
Mother I’m Scared, I want to go home
Mother what’s happening, I’m starting to CRY!
Run quick mother I don’t want to DIE

They are killing Mother, they’re pulling me apart
My arms, my legs, they are cutting my heart
Goodbye Mother, Mother goodbye
Thank you for trying, but I won’t see the sky
I won’t see the birds or the grass or the trees
I won’t sing sweet songs, or feel a cold Nordic breeze
I won’t hear the stories of our peoples glorious past
My Future is Gone, it ended so FAST
I LOVE YOU DEAR MOTHER, I REALLY DO, I REALLY HOPED MOTHER YOU WOULD HAVE LOVED ME TOO !?

You might as well lock this now, this is just going to turn into another flame fest. (85% possibility)

Awesome good to know there's writing jobs for 4 year olds out there in the world too.

Amazing use of the word "Happy" "sad" and "cry" . English teachers everywhere must be landing on their ass as they trip over all the adverbs and adjectives they suddenly have for no reason.

I love literature!

it doesnt really matter what you put up here, i will always be pro-choice.

hell you could put up all that PETA stuff to about chickens and stuff like that and i will still go to Kentucky Fried Chicken and eat the shit. two different thing but i will never change and i dont think the people at AlliedAssault.com will change any of there views because of how someone else feels.

Im Pro-Choice myself, but to a limit, such as I dont believe u should get a abortion past 3 months which is the time frame when the baby's body is developed to the extent shown in the picture, unless it is diagnosed by a doctor that It will kill the mother or there is something wrong with the child

Please...

The poem presupposes a conscious awareness for it to make any sense.
Since the initial conditions are invalid, the rest cannot follow. Pro-choice!

In a way, it's still touching.

Its such a hard topic to decide apon. Pro Life or Pro Choice ?

If only or modern day society could help the pregnant single teen or women in need, instead of frowning on her. Conservatives only make the problem worse.

What needs to be done ?

A change in society of Atitude to pregnant single mothers.

I feel if we respect life in the first place instead of looking down apon that women" for having sex in the first place we would have a less need for it. High Schools banning pregenant students is one example of the shame of it all.

Abortion is still possible but only in extreme cases such as a Women who will die unless she has one. In that case it should be up to her since her life is at risk.

Abortion is a result of our own doing. Any church goer would prove this right in their views as they like The pro life Idea yet they look down apon pregnant teens/ single mothers.. Its disgusting. Yet a fact.

I urge women who have the means of supporting the child not to have an abortion, and for you to give the child up for adoption. Their are people to help. Lots. The message we should be giving here (Coleman , TGB) is not to just not do it, but also We are here to help. Plain and simple. Simply saying no won't help.
