lists like that are total bullshit.
Top 100 Guitarists of All Time didnt have Steve Vai, John Petrucci, Joe Satriani, or Pat Metheny. Frank Zappa was 45, Eddie Van Halen was like 70 something. Trey from Phish was 73. total bullshit. Joe Satriani fucking TAUGHT Eddie Van Halen, Kirk Hammett, and Steve Vai. Kurt Cobain was like 12, Hammett was like 11. Jack White from the White Stripes was 17. come the fuck on.
there are too many categories to judge a guitarist, there is no GREATEST guitar player. its all preference. you can judge a guitar player by technique, speed, style, uniqueness, technical ability, emotion. too hard to judge a guitar player, let alone a GUITAR SOLO. its just crap.
