Evenin' all.

Well, being the air buff that I am (CFS2 and Air Warrior III ex-fanatic)I visited the Chino air museum - Planes of Fame yesterday (of which I'm a member) and met and spoke with the surviving members of the Tuskegee Airmen. What a treat! There were about 500 people there to see them recall their stories. Later, the museum pilots (including Steve Hinton, who flew most of the aircraft for Pearl Harbor the movie) flew 2 of the museums P-51s (Wee Willy II and Spam Can) as well as one of the P-40s (a P-40K, I think). They also took passengers for a reasonable fee and flew to Palm Springs and back.

Last year, I had the opportunity to fly in P-51 Spam Can..and let me tell you it was a blast. Here are some photos I shot from that flight (as well as from my buddy who shot some from the ground):

If anyone gets a chance (here's the plug), visit the Planes of Fame. Nearly all their planes are in flying condition (I would guess they have about 40-50 WWII aircraft)
