This is a pretty ridiculous question, but I havent made a sig in a long time. I added motion to the sig using image ready, saved as a gif, and uploaded at imageshack, but when I view it, there is no motion. What am I doing wrong?

upload it somewhere else, as im not too sure if imageshack works with animated gifs

Its not letting me save as a gif in image ready

window optimize, you'll see the type of image, change it to gif, then go to the toolbar and click the little IE button, then it'll open it as a gif in IE, rightclick->save as.
