Toyota Tacoma -

Does anyone own one? Has anyone been in one? Does anyone want to share their thoughts on this very nice looking truck. I am looking to buy a 4x4 TRD one or whatever.

if they are anything like import trucks from the past. It will be a pile of rust in 3 years.

If its a fucking domestic, it either has some sort of horrid safety problem, like a suspension joint snapping on your ass in the middle of you drive.. Or another transmission going out. Only imports to have major rust problems were way back in the past. They have changed the medal they used, and no longer suffer from that problem. It5 is a good truck, and will suit your "hau;ing needs" perfectly.

I plan on lifting it and doing off-roading, not hauling.

Yeah, man, definently a Jeep. My parents have a 2003 Jeep Liberty...its really reliable, and we rode a friends Jeep (before we bought ours) down in this Desert in Mexico, and man, was it fun. There were bumps, but it didnt hurt...
....is the Tacoma the truck with the commericial with the "Adrenalist" sufferer?

No Jeep. It will either be: Toyota Tacoma, Chevy S-10, or Ford Ranger. Lifted.
Something like this is what I want in the Tacoma...
This on has 4 inch suspension lift, and a 2 inch body lift.

I also have a 2001 Ford Ranger EDGE. We've never tried to do offroading with it, as its not 4x4, so I dont know if I can help you there.
Its a reliable truck, but the heater has a tendency to crap out on us. Its done it twice, and recently, it did it and we couldnt get it fixed for anothetr 3 weeks (dunno why, parents issue) and it was FREEZING outside. Good truck, though.

The Toyota Tacoma, choice of the US Army Special Forces for transportation of our forces in Afghanistan. Why didn't they use Hummers? Because they suck, overheat, and break down.
