Default Renting PC games? - 01-06-2005, 07:37 PM

Is it possible to rent pc games from Gamefly and some of the other late-fee free services? If there isn't, maybe someone should create one considering how many around the world now have computers capable of playing games other than Solitare and Frogger.

And also copying the game files to their PCs and using cracks to own them for life. And/or burning copies.

..good point. Maybe if they stuck an 'RIAA will kill your family' type of message on it, then maybe it would work.

I think I may have ran across one of their games a while back. Vietnam: Line of Sight allowed you to play 1 hr before the game abruptly shut off and took you back to the main menu, which then prompted you to subsribe to something...

Places like Hastings, Block Buster and so forth used to rent games out. That was of course before CD burners where available to the public.
