My pc is annoying me now.......
p4 3.0ghz
1 gig ddr
ati radeon pro 128mb ddr (5.4 patch)
win xp pro sp1/2
i defrag pretty regularly, i run anti-spyware progs pretty often but now whenever i play a game it freezes and runs the VPU Recover thing, taking me to the desktop. The freezing comes at random times, I was playing last night and after about an hour it just froze.
It was doing the same thing before I installed this patch but it would turn my monitor off and just do nothing meaning me having to reboot.

Might wanna disable the vpu recover option in the cat control center.
If that doesn't work uninstall the drivers completly run driver cleaner to clean out the old ati files and reinstall them.

I forgot to mention that i DID run driver cleaner, cleaning all ATI stuff.
I think I disabled VPU recover a week ago but it just turned off my monitor instead but i'll try again as i've just installed 5.4............. wallbash:
