how to reset password in Xp

i need to reset a password but i dont have a disc .. please help . i know theres a way to do it in safe mode but i cant remember

Hit F10 at start up and create a new admin account.

Or F8 at startup
enter safe mode
choose the Administor account that appears
enter the users area in control panel
remove password

Since you're under the default admin account it won't ask you for the password to remove it.
