To be honest with you, Everyone is saying that gamespy ,EA nor 2015 validate keys when playing online.
So this would lead me to believe they do not keep a record of this after installation. It's only used in the initial install then never looked at again.
<<if i'm wong someone please correct me on this, thannk >>

People might not take kindly to you letting other people use your discs. This does break your end users license agreement.

Hopefully they will fix this problem in the future so the more likely people who would cheat can not play online without validation.

good luck, just be warned this may cause some flames by other peeps.

Roach,
go to:

1.START
2.RUN
3.type REGEDIT
4.HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
5.SOFTWARE
6.EA GAMES
7.MEDAL OF HONOR
8.ERGC

Inside ergc folder should give you the CD KEY.

This isn't a flame, so don't take it as one. Technically, if you install the game on more than one computer, than you are breaking the liscence agreement, regardless of how many people own the game.

It's true, read the liscense agreement. Some companies will let you install the software on more than one machine, but only 1 user can use it at a time (most productivity software uses this kind of agreement), game liscenses however relate to the machine. You purchase a liscense to use the software on 1 and only 1 computer. If you want to install it on more than one, you can usually buy more liscenses, but that would cost as much as buying another copy of the game so it's moot anyway.

Mosquito
If thats really true that any licence agreement would state that .. that is the most rediculs and idiotic thing i have ever heard.. thats like saying "yeah you can buy this car but ONLY the person who bought it can drive it".. this is in no way a flame on you.. but thats a bunch of bull shit.

So me and my pa want to play with the two cds that came with the game thats breaking the liscense agreement? Damn im not buying two MOHs.

Luckily The game Empire Earth comes with three cd-keys. ( they use that for when you get banned your cd key is useless )

Maj Stoner, no offense taken, but I didn't say anything about only one person being allowed to play the game, only that the game can only be installed on one machine at a time. Anybody can play it once it's installed, but it's only allowed to be installed on one machine.

There are actually several types of liscenses, and some of them only liscense to individual people. i.e. Most web enabled software (Computer Associates Unicenter Service Desk as an example, as well as some of the software that we sell), explicitly names who is allowed to use the software. It's called a named liscensing agreement. You buy one copy of the software which you can install on as many different machines as you want, and then you purchase "named seats". Each individual person using the software most have their own liscense to use the software.

Games use a different type of liscensing agreement (I can't remember the name), which states that the game is liscensed for installation and usage on only 1 computer at a time.

For a better read on software liscensing in general, check out http://www.auditnet.org/articles/softwarelicenses.htm
