Brainwashing. You're being told who to point the finger at when something gets blown up.

Why not?
They're westerners, they sent an army to Iraq and afgahnistan, and their government and PM are in bed with GWB, and the U.S government. Those are perfect "reasons" for islamic extremists to attack.
America has been attacked, and so has England, in that logic, Australia really should be next.
It's terrible, but very possible. There was a rumour that one of the main london bombers (the guy they have all the photos of) lived in Auckland, as close as the same fucking suburb as me.

personal opinion after reading and researching articles on current world events.
As I understand it, John Howard isn't a very popular man for sending troops to Iraq.
General principal is, when you go to war for a flimsy cause, and continue to support the war after the validity of the original cause is null and viod, there needs to be a reason for the war. Enter the propaganda machine.
If you don't believe that every government sensationalizes their current position in some way to advance policies, you're diluting yourself.
Tell the population that terrorists are around the corner and support goes up for killing muslims.

So what happened in London can't happen here because it's only govt. propaganda?...how do you explain
why it happened in London then, seeing as the Brits and us have very alike stances on Iraq and terrorism?
btw, regardless of what you or I might think of him,
Howard is in his 3rd term as pm and way ahead in the polls.

No, what happened in London, like the US, is more or less state sponsored terrorism. It will probably happen in Australia as well. Islamic militants, or something closer to home?
