"The film's producers say the federal government spent $12 million pursuing Chong and compare that to the $25 million bounty for the capture of
Osama bin Laden." oOo:

You've take two completely unrelated topics - tossed them together, and figured you came up with something of relevance to say! -

You've turned into a lil shit mate -

Ill admit the guy is funny - and he and Marin's records were great. . .but please - 12 fucking million? I could spend 5 bucks on Bus Fare and catch this guy Cannibusing it up and achieve the same results. . .

I mean is he REALLY saying he's worth half of what OSAMA BIN LADEN is?

Well of course he is. . .hes flying like a kite -

[quote:9cb1b]...heavy-handed dealing with marijuana offenders in the post-September 11 era.

The documentary suggests the government's motive was not to rid the Internet of a mail-order pipe-and-bong business but to send a message about Chong's three decades of movies and stand-up routines celebrating marijuana use.[/quote:9cb1b]

...lol. I don't see how a nine month jail term in a minimum security prison is being heavy-handed or attempting to collapse an already decaying 40 year old career. Must be paranoid?

[quote:9cb1b]The film chronicles the Canadian-born comedian's 2003 arrest and imprisonment for selling drug paraphernalia online to an undercover U.S. drug enforcement agent.[/quote:9cb1b]

From what I'm reading, this documentary is about Chong and the people that hurt his celebrity feelings. Apparently he's ignoring the thousands of people in REAL jail through marijuana with buillshit terms from decades ago and the present time.

I agree that the original charge is questionable and alittle on the suspicous side. Apparently his whole business was raided though. The fact he sold to a federal agent provoked the raid ( I think ). Chong said after his term, at the risk of his son being prosecuted ( since he owns part of the company ) he plead guilty. But I'm pretty sure his lawyers just assumed that would happen.

That's what I gathered from the few articles I read.

I didn't know bongs were a big issue in the states...I bought a new bong from Smoke Signals a couple months ago and I walked home with it in my hand.
