im beginning to think so as well ... windows is nice as a gaming platform, but other wise i think mac os owns it ... ive pretty much been using the mac for everthing - gaming lately.

: if you notice in that screen i have 2 illustrations open and one indesign document, 2 browser windows and a "finder" ( my computer ) window, without a decrease in performance, on a 1.4 ghz machine.

ps right click save > drag

I think that the Mac OS is just more efficient...I've really been looking at getting an iBook just for homework and web browsing and movies then using my PC for gaming. It's just that Macs are soooooo expensive and I don't have anymore money to spare because of school and court related things.

The only thing macs are good for is video editing. (rendering basis of 1-1, not 2-+ like pcs... other then that they are useless peices of trash that look trendy.

(and that problem can be solved via video rendering card).

Dual Opterons beat dual G5s across the board in all multimedia tests.

Macs aren't any faster at video editting or photoshop than a PC of the same price.

dunno about how fast but they are certainly tailored for the multimedia market ... i know most if not all commercial digital art work is done using macs.
