Well it seems Im clueless about opening ports and shit...as it seems my router wants to fuck around with simutanious ports and it always says a certain port is blocked when trying to download torrents.

How do i go about opening more ports for seeders/leechers to be able to access/get through.

well...i don't know the username/password to my router...is there anyway to find out?

what router you got??

If its syslink, default is just admin in the password box (no username)

yeah i got in using that way...well i changed my password but luckilly i remembered it...

thanks for th elink statec...though i just need to find out with my version of linksys as this tutorial seems to show differently.

Your halfway there mate,

Once your in the control panel:

1) Click "Applicaiton and gaming" link at top
2) just underneith it there is a submenu - click "UPnP Forwarding"
3) find an empty box and put the description (eg bit torrent) check whether its TCP or UDP (if in doubt do 2 one using TCP and one UDP)
4) Enter the port number you wish to use (your BT client will tell you its usually 6881-6889)
5) Now find your ip address by going into accessories> command prompt and type "ipconfig" (your ip address will be something like 192.168.1.100)
6) Finally check enable and click save changes at the bottom.

Yours might be slightly different, but usally the same lines.

easiest way is to go inside of your router (usually it has an IP and access code printed on it) and go into options and enable port forwarding.
