Could use the same argument the right did against Richard Clarke..."He published a book so don't believe anything he has to say, all he's trying to do is advertise his new book by blowing hot steam"

[quote:55041]In his book, which was written four years ago, Sada also claims that Iraq's chemical weapons were taken to Syria aboard civilian Iraqi "Boeing" airplanes just prior to the US invasion.

The 65-year-old Sada said that 56 flights of this type took place, but went largely unnoticed because they were flying under the guise of humanitarian aid.

I'm hoping he is telling the truth so that I don't end my streak of never having been wrong ....and I said before the war that we might not find anything because we gave them too much advance warning and plenty of time to hide the stuff. Heck we are still finding tons of conventional weapons buried all over the place. There's no telling what those guys buried before we arrived.

Hopefully it is untrue...so USA won't think they are justified to do any more stupid things.

2 : a foolish or stupid person
- idiot adjective
3 idiotic: Pyros replies; : showing complete lack of thought or common sense : FOOLISH

I don't have the intelligence to be right or wrong, it is just assumptions and an opinion. In the end...even if in the end if true...we went to war before we knew it was true. Still makes it unjustified.

That struck me as funny ... do you mean for every decision you make, or just this one?

I beg to differ. If it were true then that would mean the intelligence info was correct, instead of what has been reported, and that the decision to go was based on accurate information, and if this guy is telling the truth when he says that Saddam was not only willing, but eager, to use the WMD's that he had, then us going to war may have prevented the use of the aforementioned WMDs.

the simple fact is we should have gone in there with or without WMDs. We should have had the UNs approval. Sadaam broke his promises from the gulf war and the UN should have spanked him but the UN is made up of a bunch of pussies, all talk no action. The UN has no teeth. Why should Sadaam listen to them the UN is useless. The sooner the US pulls out of the UN and kicks thier asses off US soil the better
