I just know I am going to get flamed...but

Why are so many people seemingly obsessed with Nazi imagery? Do they find it glamourous?

I am not trying to insult anyone, just perplexed?

Hello,

There's nothing bad about your post and i don't think you'll get flamed except maybe by some closed minds. You know, in my case, i'm not obsessed with Nazi symbols, i don't take for nazis nor i would like to reverse history even if my sig tell so. What seem to be obsessing is a need for some to take the other clan (you need enemy in this game), for some others, it's simply the history of the germans in wwii that they are obsessed with. You can have great admiration of what germany war history was without approving what was done by them. It's two very different things. In this forum, it's more for fun and gaming than anything else. It was reality, now everybody on this forum seem addict to this game that is trying to copy a portion of this reality. Having players trying to act like if they were real nazis just add to the competition nothing more. Trying to portray players playing nazis would be the same thing to try to compare playing this game to killers...

Ok,

I understand that rationale, and agree that mp needs some people to be the Nazi's and to get the immersion factor a little role play is not harmful. I just sometimes worry that it could be attractive to the skinhead neo-nazi white power nutters. But thanks for a reasoned reply.

When you use the same mentality, yes it should be fun for some players. Btw, how do you know they were "real nazis"? They told you they were via chat?

As long as they're NOT real Nazis I don't care. Remember that not all Germans were nazis.

IMO the nazi imaginery is part of this game. This is all about nazis anyways. It doesnt mean that if you have a nazi image that you are follower of neo-nazism.

Remember people, this is a game, and should be judged accordingly.
