Aright, just been down to HMS Raleigh for a weeks bummin round doing sailor stuff. It was great kus I was thrown in with the regulars & I was quite sad to leave the class at the end of the week. They were all going off to continue their course & go on speed boats & stuff whilst I was getting a train back to London. It made me wonder wtf am I doing? That should be me!

Being so busy is also great kus it actually takes my mind off of the usual crap like girls & clubs etc, certainly makes a change of sitting at home browsing the net & being bored!

Now I'm re-considering joining full time. I don't think I'll make a huge career of the Navy but 4 years or so sounds like it'll do. What have you pimps been up to? You weekend warriors ever consider going regular? I'm worried I'll get in & might hate it & be stuck but if it's only for a few years it might be worth it just for the experience.

I've considered Active duty, but not as Infantry, 30 days in the field isnt my idea of fun.

i did my 4 years and at first considered a longer career in the navy, but the last year changed my mind. i was missing alot of things back at home with the family and i really wanted to work on my education. you get some great exp in the service, but if you have a good idea on what you would like to do as a career those skills may or may not help you out there - adjusting back to civilian life can be hard for some. i kinda got bored of it all and i wanted a change in scene.
