Funny thing is there are people that will argue that the 42 was impossible to fire from the hip, just seen this posted in a thread on another forum proving a guy wrong. biggrin:

They actually had a section in the German MG-42 manual on how to fire the MG-42 from "Assault Stance", also known as standing on two feet.
