Default Gaming mouse question - 12-05-2006, 08:10 PM

Wondering what you guys use to game with.
Currently using the MX1000[/url:3d95d] which i like but went and purchased the MX Revolution[/url:3d95d] yesterday. After a night of gaming, i returned it to Best Buy. That thumb wheel should be mounted a little further back and the middle mouse wheel drove me nuts the entire night.
The middle mouse wheel is not good if you game with it. I usually use "Mouse 3" to reload weapons by pushing down on the wheel. When you push down on this wheel, it "unlocks" the wheel in free mode so you can spin it without those "clicks". By pushing down on the wheel again, you enable the clicking when you scroll up or down. It was quite annoying since i use "scroll up and down" to switch weapons. I just couldn't get used to it.

So, what do you guys use for gaming?

i have the 510, it will do what you want. it hink the only advantage the mx1000 has is that it's a bit lighter and has more sensitivity. i wouldn't mind getting one for photoshop.

I remember having one of those ages ago, the led died out on me and i called ms for a replacement. About 3 days later this shoesized box arrived, im wondering wtf is this since a mouse obviously doesn't need that much packaging, they sent me a pack of 12 of them, eek:

Funny thing was over the course of a few months all but one of them died. oOo:

An entire box? That's pretty cool. I mean, this is the brand I've used for a while now and it hasn't died on me yet. I've had no reason to switch.

I use that one but the 3.0A model that has the two sidebuttons. I love it. I got it off of ebay 3 or 4 years ago and it still works like a charm.
